TOPIC #3
LEADERSHIP
(Managing Change / Demanding Execution)
TITLE
“Wealth Flows Through You, Not To You”
(Cutting Edge, Transforming, Abundance Based)
A General Session Keynote Speech or Breakout Session Perfect for Executives, Administrators and Managers where Dan teaches that you can get anything in life you want if you are willing to help enough other people get what they want. Your people will learn that the goal is for everybody to do the right thing simply because it’s the right thing to do – not because it’s expected by leadership, but because it is demanded of ourselves!
Dan Believes:
-"The purpose of a leader is to grow more leaders who teach correct principles and inspire their people to govern themselves."
- “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Bad politicians are elected by good people who don't vote. Action is the real measure of intelligence.”
- “In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists. In times of rapid change, experience could be your worst enemy.”
This is an extremely powerful session exclusively for managers and leaders! After Dan’s keynote, break out into this interactive discussion about the Fourteen Principles and Methods of Influence and let Dan take your organization from continuous improvement to rapid growth productivity. There is a difference between Authority and Leadership; between telling a subordinate to do something while you hover over them, and presenting them with an opportunity with inspiration to be a peak performer when you are not around. Managers are present when things are running smoothly. However, leaders don’t emerge until the tough times of change.
Dan Explains:
Calling yourself a leader and standing in front of a room no more makes you a leader than standing in the middle of a garage makes you a truck! Leadership is an action verb! What we have been in the past does not make us who we are today. What we hope to become in the future makes us who we are today. If you’re burned out it means that once-upon-a-time you were lit! A broken clock is right twice a day – never give up on anybody, especially yourself!
Change is painful, but pain is a signal to grow, not to suffer. Once we learn the lesson the pain is teaching us, the pain goes away. Because leaders know this, they live their lives focused not on what is happening, but on what they DO with what is happening. They possess a power to adapt and exemplify this power and focus to everyone below and above their authority, knowing we will not have regrets for things we did, we will only have regrets for things we did not do.
Using examples from big business, politics, history and military heroes, Dan teaches the secrets of extraordinary leaders and how they created and managed change. Dan shares:
-
You can’t quit, it’s a league rule.
-
We must focus on purposes instead of just setting goals. Long term vision is what keeps us from being frustrated by short term failure.
-
When your horse dies, dismount!
-
If we’re not failing a few times, it means we’re not pushing ourselves hard enough.
Your people will leave Dan’s speech knowing that success in any business or organization comes more from recognition of people than from a money raise, and that recognition of your people begins to make a difference only when they begin to recognize themselves and realize what motivates them.
Dan will challenge your people to answer for themselves: Why should I improve? What’s in it for me? Will it make me feel important and fulfilled? What must I do to make people around me better so I help the team win? With Dan’s inspiration and their newly found ownership of these personal answers, the resulting positive behavior of your people is likely to be a permanent lifestyle improvement rather than another self-development fad you tried out that failed within weeks.
