Dan Speak On Change

This topic of Change Management is usually mixed and amalgamated into all of Dan’s speech topics to inspire the listeners to more easily accept the principles being taught. Finding the opportunity in change comes when you realize that before you can like or love another, you must first like and then love yourself; before you can trust someone else you must first trust yourself. To trust yourself means that you realize the answers required to take yourself to the next level are already inside of you. In other words, you don’t have to think outside the lines or look outside the box. The answers are in the box!

“When the winds of change start to blow, some build shelters, others build windmills.”

“In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.

Change from the outside in is reactive and creates pressure. Change from the inside out is proactive and creates power. Personal power is often referred to as “empowerment” which means self motivation, which is doing something at the right time for the right reasons – not because it is expected by others but because it is demanded of ourselves! In this mind set solutions come when we focus on purposes instead of just setting goals. Once we answer why, figuring out the how to is simple. One moment in time really can change forever; challenges prove what we’re made of; adversity introduces us to ourselves; self is not discovered its created; what we did yesterday is not as important as who we are and what we do today; no matter what our past has been we have a spotless future!
