MY  CUSTOM  SPEECH  WRITING / COACHING  PROGRAM

Day One – Session One: I fly into your city or you fly into mine where we meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner to break the ice. We then go to your home, my hotel or my home where we can get to work.  It will be a one-on-one session lasting 3 to 4 hours, with no distractions of phones, family, work, etc, in a living room/family room type setting. Kicking back in a comfortable, casual, question and answer session, we will openly talk, laugh and perhaps even cry about life, passions, significant emotional experiences, success philosophies, and specific messages that you believe have made you the incredible human being that you are. The session begins with three fundamental questions and ends only when it ends! I record this session on my Dictaphone machine and take the confidential interview home with me that night.

Days Two and Three: I have my executive assistant transcribe the interview and type up everything that is on the tape. I then read the many pages and study it in the context of the intimate interview we just had. Next, in an evaluation process that is based on my years of experience speaking 150 times annually to the world’s most successful organizations, I determine what the corporate world is hungry to hear and know and learn from your extraordinary life, both personally and professionally. I then consolidate all the stories and anecdotes and facts and formulas for success, and unique inspirational experiences that you have shared with me and write a 45 to 60 minute speech. My assistant then types up the speech and I mail a copy to you for your review.

Day Four – Session Two: I fly back into your city or you into mine, and we spend as much time as necessary going over your speech (3 to 4 hours). This is the critical face to face, heart to heart time when we hash out what you like and don’t like about what I have written, what you think is the most important and what we should leave out of the speech. This is when we agree on a title and brain storm and laugh and figure out where we can and should insert “one-liners” to make your stories and comments funny and/or emotional. This is the session where we decide how to begin the speech and what first impression you want to make with your target audience. This is also the time we discuss and decide how you will conclude your speech on a powerful memorable high note leaving your audience spell bound and wanting more! I also record this session and we depart. Either you or I fly home.

Day Five: I re-write the speech, deleting or adding the agreed upon things, inserting all of the humor and emotion and carefully craft the critical beginning and conclusion. My assistant re-types the now complete speech and I mail it to you for your final approval.

Day Six – Session Three: We get back together at your home or in my home in Utah, where you deliver your speech to me. I help you tweak it and polish it, coach you on your presentation skills and delivery with eye contact, gestures, “punctuating pauses,” and humor timing until you know you are as good a speaker as you are a business executive, entertainer, or professional athlete. Everyone will expect it of you. Winning isn’t a sometime thing-it’s an all the time thing. You, as a visible and recognized personality, represent to the world a commitment to excellence in everything you do. Having a sub par performance as a speaker would destroy your reputation as “the greatest at what you do” that you’ve spent a lifetime establishing and living up to!
